Mr Wicks recently travelled down to Sydney to film the segment and said he did a brief demonstration of whipcracking then showed Ms Keller his techniques. All the presenters then had a turn on the whips.
Mr Wicks said he also cracked a few whips over the top of Ms Keller, which had her a bit worried.
But the whipcracker said he didn't mind doing it.
"So long as you have the confidence when you get down there, it's all part of it," he said.
The local said he enjoyed "promoting the art of whip-cracking".
"It's not every day you see a pretty unique sport being showcased," he told the NVI.
He was also selected to perform in the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics in 2000 at just nine years old. He already had one national whipcracking championship under his belt by then.
