TASTY treats are set to get mouths watering in Tamworth at the weekend when two "unique" food trucks roll into town and set up shop.
Wafflepopz, American BBQ Kitchen and Birdman Korean Fried Chicken will be serving up sweet and savoury snacks on Friday night and Saturday on the corner of White Street and Kable Avenue.
Wafflepopz makes homemade waffles dipped in chocolate and topped with flavours like Oreo, Caramilk, Biscoff and hundreds and thousands. They also create churro dishes.
And, it's a triple food threat. Wafflepopz will be joined by the American BBQ Kitchen truck, which also serves up Birdman Korean Fried Chicken.
"We've been going to different places and we've had a great response from locals, everyone wants something a bit different and we have a unique product," Mr Shah said.
"Events and shows are not happening so we are doing pop-ups instead."
Mr Shah said requests through social media are what triggered him to travel to Tamworth.
"This is our first time coming to Tamworth and we've had a lot of people messaging us saying please come so we thought we'd better give Tamworth a shout," he said.
During tough times for businesses, Mr Shah said it was important for him to support the local economy on his road trips.
"We go to all the local places and stay in local motels and eat at local restaurants ... we try to buy local produce wherever we can," he said.
Mr Shah said it's common for people to challenge themselves to dine at both businesses.
"Definitely, everyone wants a good feed and everyone wants some good dessert to top it off."
