Owner of dress store Just Irresistible, Kylie Maizey, said two year 12 students, including one from Inverell, had already been in on Tuesday.
"They've all been just watching and waiting," she said.
"It's fantastic for businesses and fantastic for the year 12 girls."

Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Education Minister on Monday announced that the school leaving events could be held from November 12.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said on Monday he had long been lobbying his government to loosen restrictions in regional areas with no cases.
It's not yet clear if students will be permitted to sing or dance, or if they will have to follow rules limiting attendance per square metre. It's also not clear if parents will be allowed.
"As a proud parent you want to be there. I know for a fact, seeing your child perform or do something and not be there, I just think you want to be there at that special event, you want to be part of the memory," Mr Anderson said.
"It's really super important that we make formals as normal as possible."
Schools across NSW will receive the COVID-19 safety plan guidance for Year 12 graduations and school formals by 11 September.
