The job position is officially open for interested people, and, once they're in place, it will mean increased safety for users of the crossing in mornings and afternoons.
School principal Jen Honner is very excited with the development as the P&C have been lobbying for a crossing supervisor for years.
"I've been talking about the crossings out here for about 20 years, so I'm really excited that it could happen in my time while I'm principal," she told the NVI.
"It'll please the parents too."

Ms Honner said it was especially important that the supervisor be hired with the Boundary Road roundabout and the Gunnedah overpass being constructed.
"A lady died at the crossing outside the church, so we don't want to get to that point where something tragic happens and then we think 'oh well we should've done something earlier'," she said.
"It's a beautiful country town and a lot of kids ride their bikes to school and we don't want to have some sort of serious accident where people start to question if it's still safe to do that.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said once someone is hired and trained, they might be in place at the end of Term 3.
"The safety and welfare of kids crossing roads is of utmost importance so to have a school crossing supervisor appointed here will be fantastic," Mr Anderson said.
"As soon as that person is ready, they'll be on site keeping our kids safe."
Gunnedah Public School had a new crossing supervisor begin at the other Bloomfield Street crossing in February of this year.
The school's P&C had also lobbied for a long time before the supervisor began.
