The Tamworth Firies Shed is hosting the fundraiser between 8:30am and midday on July 18 at the old Tamworth showgrounds.

Everything from homewares to a sausage sizzle will be up for purchase to support the club - but a main attraction for many will be the bright red fire engines from times gone by.

"There's a number of vintage fire engines dating back to the late 1920s, and it follows a timeline up to the 1980s engines, that span that time frame," Zone Commander Superintendent Tom Cooper said.

Superintendent Cooper said all money raised will go towards petrol, maintenance and restoring the old-style trucks.

"We're a non-profit organisation and to keep the place running, we need income," he said.

Organisers said to look for the big red fire trucks and enter through the pedestrian gate at the old showgrounds.
