Brain Training will start on Monday, July 13, 2020, at 10.30am for the one hour morning session, and 3.30pm for the afternoon session. If you haven't tried brain training, or you have only had the puzzle packs sent to your home during the shut-down, and now want to try participating in a group session, call the library on 67 402190, if you haven't already been contacted, to book a place.
Junior Brain Games will start at the end of the school holidays on Wednesday, July 22 at 3.30 pm. Bookings are essential for this after-school activity. Ring the library on 67 402190 to book. Activities include story reading and comprehension, and brain-stretching puzzles, such as spot the difference, join the dots, word and number puzzles, mazes, and solving codes.
Due to social distancing restrictions, we won't be offering the school holiday program during the holidays, but parents can request activity packs for their children. Packs have been prepared for children ages 4 to 7 years, and 8 to 12 years. Please ring 67 402190 to request a pack for collection from the library.
We won't be offering our Bookends Literacy Assist program at the moment, but as soon as the restrictions lift, this can commence again. The program matches seniors with children who require a little reading help and confidence. The seniors listen to the children, and offer help and encouragement. Although this program is not starting yet, if you would like your child to participate, please ring the library.
See you soon at the library!
