Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) has commenced work on two projects which will improve road infrastructure within the town.
Drainage and parking lane improvement works valued at $190,000 are being carried out in Dewhurst Street between Fitzroy and Russell streets.

Meanwhile, on Callaghans Lane, bitumen sealing is being undertaken on a 500 metre section at the northern end, at a cost of $335,000.
Funding for both projects was obtained through the Federal Government's Financial Assistance Grant (FAG) program.
A contractor is delivering the projects on behalf of the council with work expected to be finished by the end of the financial year, weather permitting.
