The stormy start to the year is set to continue this week as a low pressure system brings some wild weather into the North West.

The storms are set to hit Tamworth and Gunnedah on Thursday with both towns a chance of seeing 25-plus millimetres of rain.
Bureau of Meteorology's Jane Golding said the storms will be caused by an "intense low pressure system moving up toward Australia from the polar region".
"Over next two to three days, that low pressure system will move into western NSW and then over to the east," the NSW/ACT acting state manager said.
"We're expecting that to result in some vigorous conditions. Some vigorous, cool, wintery conditions and blustery winds. Some rain, some potential flooding, snow to low levels, plummeting temperatures and thunderstorms in the mix as well."
Following the expected storms on Thursday, temperatures will drop significantly.
Tamworth will reach just 13 degrees on Friday and then just 14 on Saturday.
Saturday will also bring with it the coolest temperature with a low of one degree.
Temperatures will be similar in Gunnedah with a high of 13 on Friday.
Meanwhile, places like Armidale and Glen Innes will have lows below zero over the weekend.
