PRAMS president Amber Donoghue said it was a great opportunity to support both the health industry and the hospital industry during these trying times.
"With hearing about the negative experiences that some of our healthcare workers are having, not necessarily Gunnedah but nation-wide, it was important to recognize that they're remaining on the front line and putting themselves at risk to maintain everyone's health," Ms Donoghue said.
"It was also an opportunity to support some of our local cafes. Obviously our hospitality industry has been hit very hard so we approached The Verdict to make the slices ... and utilised the remaining four cafes that are open for [the coffee] so we thought that was the best way to share the opportunity for all the cafes."
The group ensured they followed social distancing rules when delivering the packages, and even contacted Hunter New England Health to make sure it was okay to deliver to the hospital.
Ms Donoghue said it was nice to see a smile brought to people's faces.
"A small gesture can brighten someone's day and I encourage everyone to look for those opportunities when we can," she said.
