Tafe NSW are offering fee-free courses online for those looking to add to their skill-set and beat the lock-down listlessness.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall has announced a suite of 21 online short courses to assist people across the region who wanted to upskill during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Marshall said the courses would allow people to pursue a new area of study or expand their existing skill sets during these difficult times.
"Many employees in the hospitality and retail sectors have had their lives turned upside down in the last month, with COVID-19 bringing an abrupt end to stable employment," Mr Marshall said.

"The State Government has made it a priority, while the pandemic continues, to do what it can to keep as many people as possible in jobs, or support those currently experiencing unemployment to return to the workforce.
"For some this could mean utilising this period of social distancing to hit the books and learn skills in areas like business, computing, social media, administration and writing and personal presentation.
"TAFE NSW's website has the list of all the fee-free courses currently on offer and I urge anyone who may be interested to jump online and see if there is something available which suits them."
The 21 short courses include:
- eMarketing for Small Business;
- Engaging Customers Using Social Media;
- Writing and Presentation Skills;
- Computing Skills;
- Team Leader Skill Set; and
- Administration Skills for Team Leaders.
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee said these select courses will assist job seekers and workers looking to diversify their skills during these times.
"It's vital we keep people employed and ensure we have the ability to rebound when things do improve," he said.
"We also understand that many industries are in hibernation, so using this period to upskill for the future is time well spent."
