The second rail overpass and a new roundabout on the Oxley Highway are two of the major infrastructure projects under way in Gunnedah, and work is continuing.
"Transport for NSW is following the directive of NSW Health and is proactively managing the situation as it evolves with expert advice from health and operational professionals," north region director Anna Zycki said.

Ms Zycki said the rail-over-road project was "progressing well" under contractor Daracon Group and was "on track for completion" in March 2021.
"The project team is continuing to work at View and Warrabungle Streets, building the second stage of the Oxley Highway roundabout and continuing work on the bridge deck."
Gunnedah Shire Council is also moving along on the Oxley Highway roundabout, which feeds into the heavy vehicle route.
"Transport for NSW will continue to work with Gunnedah Shire Council and its contractors to minimise any potential delays," Ms Zycki said.
Other Transport NSW projects to be carried out by the council include Silo Road near Gunnedah, and on the Kamilaroi Highway works adjacent to the Mystery Road intersection and Gunnedah Saleyards, and Grove Wood culverts.
"Work on the Kamilaroi Highway near Silo Road is expected to start in coming weeks. The work will involve rebuilding about one kilometre of road, and improvements to drainage," Ms Zycki said.
"Improvements to the Kamilaroi Highway at Grove Wood will also start soon to replace the existing drainage to improve the movement of water away from the road during heavy rainfall and floods.
"More information will be issued once start dates for both projects are confirmed."
The council said its staff were continuing to seal Grain Valley Road near Mullaley and key freight corridor Mystery Road is being surveyed and designs are under way.
About 8km of the 11km length of Mystery Road, from Waverley Road to the Kamilaroi Highway between Caroona and Breeza, will be widened and sealed to ease the way for B-double trucks transporting cotton to the gin in Carroll.
The councils are contributing $750,000 to the project and the remaining $2.25 million will be funded by the NSW government.
"We are hopeful roads projects will meet their timelines, however, the health and safety of the workforce and the community are our highest priority at this time, and we are implementing best practice procedures by following the federal government's laws and guidelines," a council spokesperson said.
"This is an uncertain time, and council's services are reviewed daily to ensure the best result for our community."
