NEW DATA reveals Tamworth has topped the region with seven diagnosed COVID-19 cases.
The figures were released by NSW Health today in an effort to give the public more up-to-date, clear information.
Positive COVID-19 cases were lower than Tamworth's in similar sized councils, like Dubbo that has one to four and Orange which has six.
Liverpool Plains, Glen Innes, Narrabri and Inverell all have 1-4 cases identified, but they still don't know where the cases in Tenterfield have come from as health officials can't find the source.
No cases have been reported in Armidale, Gwyidr, Uralla, Moree, Guyra, Walcha or Gunnedah.
