A teenager has been charged with a string of offences in Gunnedah after being arrested near Tamworth.

The 15-year-old was charged by Oxley police, accused of seven offences, allegedly committed across the Gunnedah township last month.
The teen is charged with five counts of aggravated break-and-enter and commit serious indictable offence by stealing; and two similar offences for incidents on February 23 and 24.
The teenager has been in custody since his arrest, after fronting court.

Police said a passenger in the car was identified by officers to be a 15-year-old boy wanted by authorities.
Checks revealed he had six outstanding warrants for his arrest, along with a revocation of parole warrant.
He was taken to Tamworth police station and charged with the warrants and new offences.
The teenager appeared in Tamworth Children's Court where he was refused bail until mid-April.
Police said the arrest was part of Operation Southbreak, which was set-up to investigate break-ins and car thefts in the Tamworth area.
