That's all right, we have plenty of books of short stories, including The Cotton Lass and other stories by well known author Anna Jacobs: 'across a variety of time periods and settings, these stories capture Anna Jacobs' unique style and showcase her mastery of emotional tales'.
A historical novel Kitty set in 1838 has the narrative flowing between England and Australia. By Deborah Challinor, Kitty finds "her independent heart leads her into a web of illicit sexual liaison, betrayal and death."
By Australian author Trish Morey One Summer Between Friends is set on Lord Howe Island: 'this summer, can these women overcome the pain of the past and find their way back to the friendship they once had?'
