The town's RSL sub-branch was successful gaining funds under the the Anzac Community Grants Program to install two 1.8m laser-cut metal diggers and poppies beside the sandstone plinths where the roll is displayed on Anzac Parade. It will be a similar style to Baan Baa's memorial.
"This will be an extraordinary and eye-catching addition to Werris Creek's Service Roll display," Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said.
"I want to thank [RSL] secretary Paul Moules and his sub-branch members for their efforts to organise this wonderful addition to the town's memorial ... it is vital we maintain these important community memorials.
"It is so important that we learn from our past and it is vital we don't forget the Anzac spirit.
The service roll includes about 900 names of Werris Creek residents who served Australia in different conflicts across the world.
