The Australian Army Band (Newcastle) is touring the North West to raise spirits in the drought and best of all, it's a free concert.
The event is supported by the three Gunnedah Rotary clubs who are providing a barbecue from 5.30pm.
"The band has taken on the tour as their way of supporting rural communities through the current tough times," Gunnedah Rotary West member Mark Kesby said.
"While recent rains have done much to lift local spirits, farmers and rural towns have a long way to go to recover even if we get good follow-up rain.
"So perhaps the tour can be called a "celebration of the rain" tour. Regardless, it's a wonderful opportunity hear a high class band performing locally.
