There were no pina coladas being enjoyed, but students and staff were certainly caught in the rain at Gunnedah High School's swimming carnival on Thursday.
Attendees faced on-and-off rain, but luckily the heavier rain didn't come until the end of the 2020 carnival.
But the wet weather didn't stop the festivities, with everyone cheering for the competitors and dressing up in their house colours.
There were many different races and activities for everyone to participate in, including the classic freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke races.
As well as this, there was the novelty race, the house relay, iron woman and iron man races, and the year 12 versus staff race.
