PCYC's BBQ and Beats tour is visiting towns across the region, with stops on the second leg of the tour including Gunnedah, Bingara, Barraba and Quirindi.
The event is funded through the state government's drought stimulus package, and will offer up a barbecue dinner, followed by a disco at the Gunnedah PCYC.

The tour has already stopped in Narrabri, Tenterfield and Warialda, among other towns.
Tamworth PCYC's Debby Herdegen has facilitated many of the past events, and said it offered kids in drought-stricken towns the chance to have fun.
"We're encouraging families to come along to enjoy a night out and they don't have to pay anything because we know how expensive it is to entertain the kids during the school holidays," she said.
"We'll have some outdoor sports games and things as well."
Ms Herdegen said locals didn't need to RSVP, they just had to "turn up on the night at 6pm".
The free barbecue begins at 6pm on Thursday, with the disco to run from 7pm.
More information can be found via PCYC Gunnedah's Facebook event.
The Quirindi event will be held on Friday at the Quirindi Pavilion from 6pm-9pm.
