Among them are Dixie Walker, Dominic Goodwin-Hauck, Paul Hartley and David Moses, who all have two nominations apiece.
The latter two, with a combined service to Gunnedah Fire and Rescue of more than 80 years, "provide outstanding guidance and mentorship to the next generation of leaders within the community".

Dixie, a life member of the show society and pony club, has been described as "an integral part [and] valued member" of the community who shares her time with "countless organisations".
The award winners will be announced on the Australia Day ceremony on January 26.
