If you haven't already, come to the library to check out the new look, join up and take part in the programs. Now is the time to do so!
With the exception of printing, copying, scanning, laminating and some of the school holiday program, all library services are free of charge, so come along and see what we have to offer you in the way of new books, magazines, DVDs, CDs.
See if you would like to participate in a program such as Brain Training @ the Library - a fast and fun one hour of puzzles and activities for adults; or Toddler Time for the young and the young at heart.
There's a library calendar on the notice board giving times and details, or just ask one of the friendly staff when things are happening and if you can join in.
If you haven't already done so, grab an entry form for the Australiana scavenger trail and see if you can spot the 30 animals, birds, plants, fish and flowers that are hidden amongst the shelving.
It's great fun and will take you on a exploration of the library and its collection and all completed entries go into a draw for prizes.
Of course, school holiday programs are also taking place now.
For younger children to seven years, the program runs from 10.30am to 11am, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and includes storytelling and a handicraft. This session is free, and you don't have to book, so just come along and enjoy yourself.
Older children can come to the library in the afternoons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 3.30pm and take part in Crafty Creations.
The theme for this week is flowers and fish, and there are some interesting things for the children to make.
Bookings are essential for this program, so call the library on 6740 2190 to secure a place for your child. There's also a fee of $3 to cover the cost of materials.
See you at the library!
