Locals drinking at The Railway Hotel, Parkview Hotel, Courthouse Hotel, Imperial Hotel, Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club, and Gunnedah Golf Club can get a ticket giving them a $7 discount off their taxi fare home.
Gunnedah and District Liquor Accord re-launched the Gunny Gets You Home initiative in December to tackle drink driving and president Greg Thomas said pubs and clubs had already gone through a few books of coupons.

More than $10,000 from the accord and the NSW Government's 2019 Liquor Accords Grants Program has been invested in the initiative, which folded almost ten years ago.
Mr Thomas said there were posters and coasters advertising the initiative "in every pub and club in town".
"You come and ask us to call you a taxi and we'll then give you an orange ticket, which gives you a $7 discount off your fare. They just give that to the driver and they take $7 off the meter," he said.
"There are about 1200 journeys and there's no end date on it. We'll sort of get through to the end of March."
Mr Thomas would like to see the initiative roll on, so the accord is keeping its ear to the ground for any funding opportunities.
"We've got a meeting in February and I'd like to think we can get some report from the police to hopefully say the incidences of drink driving are down because at the end of the day I guess this part of the plan B," he said.
"This is to reduce drink driving. That's the whole purpose of it."
Mr Thomas said patrons think the initiative is "great" and Gunnedah Taxis and Cabs Services' drivers agree.
The Imperial's Mandy Fathers said she was onto her second book and was glad it was brought back.
"I've had people that would normally drive and they've said, 'If we get one of those [coupons], we'll leave the car here'," Mrs Fathers said.
