Fires, road closures and smoke were a hurdle in their goal to do 13 runs in 21 days - but the Edmunds family did nine in 15 days and were "very happy" with that.

Mick Edmunds said plan A had given way to plan B then plan C, but "we got lot of runs in" - including an undie run raising funds for firefighters.
"We meant to travel up the east coast of Victoria - that's all fire grounds now; we meant to pass through Eden - that was almost evacuated ... we were going to run a couple of events we picked in Canberra, but the level of smoke was shocking, so we thought we'd the pull the pin," he said.
"But we got a lot of runs in; at one stage, in 24 hours we actually did three running races ... which was pretty hectic."

The Gunnedah family - Mr Edmunds, wife Erin, sons Brandon and Max, and daughters Georgie and Sienna - did races and fun runs in Mount Gambier, Geelong, Bells Beach, Torquay, Portsea and more.
He said one of the highlights was daughter Sienna's achievements.
"She was a bit of a star in our family: she set three event records for the under-11s, and she's only nine."
The "most significant" was at the Mount Gambier parkrun, which has been held 323 times.
"She's the fast under-11 to have run there in all those events [and] took 2m18s off the record," he said.
'They're pretty tough'
He said running was a hugely positive pastime for the family.
"It's a social thing; it puts our boys right out there into the community, not just in Gunnedah," he said.
"Wherever we go, people are so impressed they're special-needs fellas running and getting up and doing things.
"They win fans wherever they go ...
"The school has commented that our girls are far more out of their shell; their confidence boost from doing these trips away has been enormous for them.
"They love seeing the whole country.
"And for all of them, it is a discipline thing.
"They all run twice a week before school.
"On a Wednesday before school, they do 7km of mountain running: 5.30 out of bed, go run 7km - including 2.5km uphill - come home, shower and go to school; they're pretty tough."
