There are also plenty of new books on the shelves, so make a New Year's resolution to come and join the library.
There's a terrific collection of over 17,000 items that you can borrow for almost three weeks.
Collections include fiction, nonfiction, young adult collection, children's fiction, children's picture books - which are great fun! - talking books for children and adults, and also Large Print books for people who may have trouble reading normal print.
There are also paperbacks and magazines to select from, as well as DVDs and CDs. So really, there's something for everyone.

Not for loan are local history books, newspapers. The library also offers services such as printing, copying, laminating, free Wi-Fi, free public access computers, and there is usually a JP on duty to sign statutory declarations, and to certify documents.
There's also a huge range of programs on offer for all ages - from Toddler Time for children and the young at heart, to Brain Training@the library and Knit and Natter, Colour and Chatter.
So keep the library and its services in mind for next year! And when you come in, look out for all the new books that have been added to the shelves.
New titles include a lovely new edition of The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald. First published in 1926, there's an introduction that puts the book in context. Lighter reading is The Summer of Sunshine and Margot a romantic tale by Susan Mallery, described as "a delicious tale destined for beach blankets"!
People who love to read mysteries and thrillers will enjoy The Racketeer by John Grisham "He was betrayed by the FBI ... Now he wants revenge."
Remember, you can still obtain good books at the pop up libraries at The Civic and from the street library box at the Gunnedah Conservatorium.
