The business in Gunnedah's CBD is now up for sale because brothers and business co-owners Jaren and Jake Vigor are planning to move interstate.

Jaren Vigor said they had originally hoped to purchase the building from the owners, but decided to close up instead for health reasons.
"Hopefully someone takes on the business again but the whole reason for it shutting is because I'm a bit unwell ... so we've just bought another restaurant and started a cleaning business up on the Gold Coast, on Chevron Island," Mr Vigor said.
Mr Vigor said they wanted "a lifestyle change" because "Gunnedah isn't for us".
"We just have dramas in Gunnedah; it's not for us, we've been here long enough," he said.
"We had the opportunity to buy the restaurant [on the Gold Coast] so we bought it and started the contract cleaning business
Despite the issues, Mr Vigor said he was appreciative of the hotel's patrons during their time there.
"Thanks to everyone who supported us, we hope to see you all again," he said.
The hotel will remain closed until the handover is complete and the business is leased by another publican.
The brothers took over The Clubhouse Hotel in August 2018, renovated it and renamed it The Grand Elixxa Hotel.
They also opened up J&J Eats in May 2018 but sold the business earlier this year.
