NSW Teachers Federation members will gather at local meeting venues for a broadcast on federation senior officers' salary negotiations with the NSW Department of Education.
Gunnedah union members will meet at MacKellar Motel, meaning there may be minimal supervision at local public primary and secondary schools.

Teachers will be voting on a new salaries and conditions award, which could come into effect from the first pay period of 2020.
The federation has previously stated it hopes to reach "consensus with the employer around proposed terms of settlement before the end of the school year".
A statement about the mass meeting says members will "view a televised broadcast explaining the progress of negotiations for a new salaries and conditions award ... then debate and vote on a recommendation from federation's executive".
Gunnedah High School was one of several across the region that took to social media to inform parents of the meeting.
"The NSW Teachers Federation has called upon its members to stop work on Thursday, December 5, 2019 commencing at 8.45am in order to hear the latest reports from the presidential officers on salary negotiations," its post said.
"Gunnedah High School will be open and we are able to provide minimal supervision for students until 10.10am on this day.
"No classes will be taught during this time. Students attending during this time should report to the old quad where they will be supervised.
"The day will commence with roll call in the old quad, with period 2 starting at 10.20am ...
An outcome of the vote is expected to be announced on Thursday afternoon.
