Gunnedah's youngsters will be excited to know there's a brand new playground in town ready to be played on.
Located in Ken Green Park on Stewart Street, the equipment includes a slide, swing set, flying fox, and a koala rocker to tie in the shire's name as the koala capital of the world.
A Gunnedah Shire Council spokesperson said the council was "looking forward to seeing it in use".
"This is a great family park with lots of open space to play. We will be installing a shade sail over the playground in the new year to complete the project," the spokesperson said.
Locals were asked to vote on the design of the playground this year, and chose this particular option.
It was installed as part of the council's playground renewal project.
