PCYC Gunnedah will hold Santa's Great Race on Friday, December 13 as their major end-of-year fundraiser, and locals are in for all sorts of fun.
Teams of four, dressed in Santa costumes, will meet at the Railway Hotel at 7pm for dinner and for the beginning of the race.
"Each team will get their race pack [and map] so it will be a race around Gunnedah, you'll have clues and items to collect on the way between each sip stop, which will be most of the hotels in Gunnedah," club director Michelle Gosper said.

Food will be provided at each of the pub stops, the Imperial Hotel, the Parkview Hotel and the Gunnedah Hotel, and there will be activities at each stop, too.
"There'll be really fun Christmas games at each [hotel] that people can be involved in and at the end of it all we culminate at the Courthouse Hotel and then we're going to have a DJ and we'll be announcing team prizes for the night," Ms Gosper said.
Checkpoint challenges are varied and focus on thinking outside of the box, encouraging teams to work together and have fun.
Ms Gosper said all proceeds from the event would go back into "running wonderful mission-based youth activities to get youth empowered" and was also great for helping the pubs during the drought.
"Everyone's doing it tough in the drought and it's about getting everyone together perhaps for a Christmas party or just fun with friends and we want to spread it around Gunnedah to make sure that all the hotels are getting trading over the Christmas period," she said.
"People may not feel like celebrating but this is something different to get everyone involved or into the holiday spirit."
Locals over the ages of 18 are encouraged to get together a team of four and purchase a ticket for the event for $20. Tickets can be purchased via TryBooking or at PCYC Gunnedah.
The PCYC is also seeking stallholders for Saturday, December 21 for its Carols in the Domain live stream event.
The carols will be screened on the outdoor cinema screen alongside night markets for last minute Christmas gifts.
Doors will open from 7pm and locals can enjoy the night by paying just a gold coin donation. Food and drinks will also be available to purchase at an extra cost.
Interested stallholders should contact the club on 6742 1586 for more information.
