In his typical confident style, Gunnedah's best batsman was responding to a Namoi Valley Independent article that referred to first-placed Albion and second-placed Court House as the competition's two dominant sides.
He said: "I reckon we're the front-runners; I don't think Albion and Court House are. We've only lost two games."

He added: "If you look at our performances, we've developed our side all season ... We're the reigning premiers: they've got to catch us."
This round marks the end of the two-day games. Milne expects Kookaburras to finish the season strong via the one-dayers.
He said Kookaburras were eyeing a ladder spike to second spot with an outright win over Mornington.
At Kitchener Park on Saturday, Kookaburras declared on 6-261 in the 54th over after opener Milne made a 130-ball 102 and No 3 Mathew Agostino made a 76-ball 88.
Mornington's Henry Johns claimed 3-42 off six overs.
In reply, Mornington were 6-50 at stumps on day one. Braithen Winsor (3-5) and his father, Vinnie, (2-14) did most of the damage.
