Shooters got into the festive spirit on Sunday for the Gunnedah Sporting Clays' annual Christmas Shoot.

A fantastic roll-up of 85 shooters from clubs around the region and as far as Dubbo, among them a lot of new faces, took to the range, rain for the first 50 targets of the day a welcome sight.
One hundred targets of English Sporting were run in the morning along with an extreme target, followed by the Yuletide Log Flurry after a special Christmas lunch.
Paula Purvis was for the second year running part of the winning Yuletide Log Flurry team, this year combining with Eli Kelly, Charlie North and Stuart Cole.
Purvis also won the ladies competition, edging out Melissa Phillips by two targets after hitting 80 of her 100.
Denis Coaker took out the Extreme Target while Matt Duncan was the overall winner with 89/100.
Lance North (85/100) was first in AA grade, Shane Raulston (81/00) won A grade and Neil Donaldson (80/100) B grade in what was one of the closest divisions of the day with Greg Drain shooting 79 and clinching second on a countback from Rob Murray.
Dean Delaney (78/100) took out C grade while George Lyne (75/100) won the juniors division and Ethan Kelly (68/100) the sub-juniors.
