Carinya Christian School
Last week, all students from prep to year 7 at Carinya Christian School enjoyed doing activities and meeting some of their new teachers for 2020.
However, it was especially exciting for students in prep who got to meet their year 3 buddies for next year. These buddies will look after their prep friends as they start kindergarten and get used to all the playground routines. It is always wonderful to see some lovely peer relationships develop.

Year 6 at Gunnedah South Public School travelled to Sydney for their end-of-year excursion by either train or plane.
They enjoyed many activities including visiting the aquarium, taking rides on the ferry, learning how to surf, visiting Madam Tussauds Wax Works and the Sydney Observatory, and eating Japanese food.
Gunnedah Public School
This week, students at Gunnedah Public School who qualified, participated in 5 for 5 Rewards which was very fun for them all. Some of the students commented on their reward experience:
"My favourite part was the dunking machine because the bucket fills up and water goes all over you," Torsten from class 4/5N said.
Tiger from KH said he liked the sprinkler because " it is fun to play in and run around".
Bailey Hartwig from 4/5N went to the woodwork room at Gunnedah High School for his experience, where he made a wooden Christmas decoration.
"It was heaps of fun. My favourite part was making my name on the wooden decoration with the burning tool," he said.
Meanwhile, most year 3 and 4 students went on the ZooSnooZ excursion last week to Taronga Western Plains Zoo and had an absolute ball.
They all met many interesting and funny animals, and did a mass of walking.
