One Chris has made way for another as Senior Constable Chris Guinery fills the shoes of Chris Hart who lived in Curlewis for more than two years.
The senior constable started on Monday, and while the majority of his shifts will be in Gunnedah, he will be on-call in Curlewis at night and is the lock-up keeper for the village police station.

It is the first time Senior Constable Chris Guinery has lived in a country town after growing up in the Blue Mountains and working in the Nepean area of Sydney in one of the biggest police command districts.
Senior Constable Guinery originally wanted to be a paramedic but still wound up in emergency services, completing his training at the NSW Police Force Academy in Goulburn nine years ago.
He has since taught at the academy and was part of the Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Teams, working mostly in Penrith.
Senior Constable Guinery said he was used to working in a team of 30, so it was novel experience to meet almost every Gunnedah officer in one day.
He applied for the position because he "wanted to try a different style of policing".
"The way things are run here is different - that's what attracted me," Senior Constable Guinery said.
"It's a nice, small team."
The senior constable will be joined by his partner and kids in Curlewis in the coming month.
