Gunnedah Shire Council said Livvi's Place in Woseley Park is on track for completion by December 18 and the official opening is earmarked for the next day.
"While Livvi's Place will not be completed by National Disability Inclusion Day on December 3, council is planning to celebrate progress on the park with a walk-through by the working group, councillors and the Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson," a council spokesperson said.
"The project has seen good cooperation between council, contractor Daracon, and subcontractors, including locals Brad Crane Contracting, Thomson Electrical and Palmers Landscapes, who are working together to get this great project finished."

The area has been fenced off since work started in August, but there have a number of people have entered the work site without authorisation, which was "a safety issue", the spokesperson said.
"Council is currently installing CCTV devices to deter would-be vandals and trespassers," they said.
The concept of the $1.3 million project was driven by Gunnedah mum Ashley Bender who started a petition in 2013.
