The Mullaley woman and ex-Gunnedah man participated in the curtain-raiser section of the event in Sydney against the backdrop of a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle.

Mrs Martin said they joined about 200 pipers from places including Tasmania, Rockhampton, Townsville, Sydney and Dubbo.
"The coordination and execution of the combined performances was incredible," Mrs Martin said.
"The show was very well organised by military personnel and ran like clockwork. The 1500 performers in the tattoo were of a very professional standard and the show was very entertaining.
"There were pipe bands, brass bands, singers, Shetland fiddlers and highland dancers, along with Aboriginal groups and military delegations from many Pacific nations."
