It was a great experience for the youngsters and the group also went on to cut an LP record, thanks to the sponsorship of former Gunnedah mayor, the late Bill Clegg.

From 1970 to 1975, the Gunnedah Primary School Boys Choir was under the tutelage of teacher Bob Campbell who is helping to organise a reunion of the "boys" on March 21 next year at Gunnedah Golf Club.
"A 20-year reunion of the choir was held in 1993 and as this was some years ago, some of the boys are keen to re-unite and catch up with old friends," Mr Campbell said.
"It was also suggested that 'Bob is not getting any younger' although the ages of the 'boys' are about 60."
Mr Campbell said the choir had achieved considerable success at the Gunnedah and Wagga Wagga eisteddfods and also featured at his wedding to Margaret Brooks on August 25, 1973, at Gunnedah Anglican Church.
"Families and friends are most welcome as they were at the last reunion, and are encouraged to come along and take part in the evening," Mr Campbell said.
"Although the boys' voices broke many, many years ago, they still might be encouraged to break into song."
