Carinya Christian School
Year 7 2020 Get Ready Day was held in Carinya Christian School's auditorium this week. Students and their caregivers from other schools and from the current year 6 class at Carinya were able to come and meet each other as well as some of their teachers for next year.
It was a lovely day with morning tea and lunch served, along with some great games including NERF wars.

As well as this, years 5 and 6 undertook an observational survey of the main street of Gunnedah.
It was an introduction to fieldwork in Geography and students looked at a number of questions, including the state of public and community spaces, the number of vacant shop fronts, the number of new cars in town, the number of people in conversations, how busy public spaces were, etc.
This enabled students to look at the general health of the town at one point in time and make observations about this. It was a very interesting excursion.
Gunnedah Public School
During their maths lessons recently, class 1A at Gunnedah Public School have been learning about jump strategies.
As well as this, KH did a great job telling the school about 'The Hungry Caterpillar' at assembly on Friday. Parts played were: reading - Nicola, egg - Ethan, caterpillar - Marley, butterfly - Nate Y, sun - Kayden.
The remaining members of KH played their part holding up posters and supporting their classmates.
Meanwhile, years 4-6 attended Gunnedah's Remembrance Day service while the rest of the school observed a minute of silence to show respect on such a significant day in our nation's history.
