At about 8.20pm on Wednesday night, a 19-year-old Piallaway man was arrested in relation to a domestic violence incident.
It is alleged the man assaulted his step father in the presence of police, and then physically resisted the efforts of police while they were arresting him.

He was restrained soon after and taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he was subsequently charged with common assault and resisting police in the execution of their duty.
He has been bailed to appeared before Gunnedah Local Court in November.
Meanwhile, Gunnedah police are seeking information regarding a car that was damaged extensively this week.
Between 8.30am on Monday and 7.30am on Tuesday, damage was caused to both the interior and exterior of the car when it was parked in a carpark behind the Grand Elixxa Hotel.
