Several courses were conducted including; Start Crewing - on a trailable yacht, Start Sailing 1 and 2 - on a sailing dinghy, Better Sailing and Out There Sailing, where participants received an introduction to paddle boards, kayaks and sailing dinghies.
The participants ranged in age from seven through to mid-50s, and came from around the Gunnedah area, Armidale, Merriwa and as far afield as Sydney, the ACT and even South Australia.
LKSC Instructors were used in their area of expertise and training and took their group of students through a rigorous set of skills based on their previous experiences with sailing.

The seven participants in the Out There course mainly played with paddle boards and kayaks with input from LK Sport and Rec teachers, a kayak instructor and freestyle sailboard world champion Chris Thompson, who is a member of the Armidale Sailing Club.
While the water level in Lake Keepit was just below one percent there was adequate water for all activities to be conducted simultaneously. There could be seen up to 20 craft on the water at once and with follow up instruction back in the sailing club the courses were completed satisfactorily.
"We hope the participants enjoyed their time at Lake Keepit and have grown to enjoy water sports and particularly sailing. May we see you on the water at some time in the future," Tim Corben co-organising instructor Lake Keepit Sailing Club said.
"A big thank you to our fellow club Instructors, club volunteers who assisted with setting up and packing away boats and equipment and to the caterers."
