The ongoing drought can't stunt the Gunnedah Show Ladies Auxiliary's enthusiasm for its annual rose show.
This year's competition and display will be held from October 18-19 at The Smithurst Theatre.
Entries will be accepted from 7.30am-11.30am on the October 18 and judging will start at 12 noon.
Admission is free and well-known local florist Judy Clarke will award placings in return once again to decide which blooms are best.
The 12 categories include: white, bi-colour, pink, red, orange, Double Delight, mauve, yellow, Peace, miniature, colour not mentioned, and a vase of six roses (different colours). Bottles are supplied.
There are prizes to be won in all sections and a champion rose will also be selected.
Auxiliary member Coralie Howe is hoping entries will be just as strong this year.
Locals can see the flower display between 9am-4.30pm on October 18 and 8am-2pm on October 19.
