Almost 20 members attended the annual then monthly meeting of the 97-year-old branch at Oak Tree Retirement Village.
As per CWA tradition, the members were informed of their study flora, fauna and foe for 2020, chosen by the state agricultural and environmental committee.
The flora is the waratah, the fauna is the whale and the foe is the wild dog.
Mrs Scott also updated the women on the refurbishment of the CWA rooms on Barber Street.
She said tiling was under way at the 1966 building, but it would be "a couple more weeks" before the whole renovation was complete.
"There's been a lot more to it than there first appeared," Mrs Scott said.
"There was concrete in wire in the walls and it's really dusty ... but there's no asbestos, which is good."
Mrs Scott said it would "all be worth it when it's done".
