School principal Rebecca Dowe gave a speech about the celebrations, and renowned children's author and illustrator Gus Gordon gave a speech about his time at a small school and how it shaped the person he is today.
Student Rivva Gardner was lucky enough to be presented with the inaugural Rebecca Lucy Walker Cup for his hard work at school.

Great-grandson of Rebecca Lucy Walker, Don Walker, and Mrs Dowe presented the award to the dedicated student.
The school's students also performed two choir songs for guests - 'When I Grow Up' and 'Sisi Ni Moja'.
Student representatives from other local schools including Boggabri Public School, Mullaley Public School and Gunnedah Public School were also in attendance, as well as other key shire residents.
The sold-out sequin ball on Saturday night will wrap up the sesquicentenary celebrations.
