The arrival of fraternal twins Charlotte and Lucy Penrose has been a cause for great celebration for a Gunnedah family.
The girls are the first set of twins in four generations in the Mirow and Shaw families.
They are granddaughters for Gunnedah's Robyn and Mac Howarth, and great granddaughters for Gunnedah's Nancy Mirow (nee Shaw).
The twins were born to former Gunnedah woman Emma (nee Howarth) and her husband Jamal Penrose at 32 weeks on May 13, 2019 at the Nepean Hospital in Kingswood.
At birth, Charlotte weighed 1.7kg and measured 40cm in length. Lucy weighed 1.1kg and measured 34cm at birth.
The girls are also granddaughters for Anthony Penrose and May Wilkinson in the United Kingdom.
The Penrose family lives in Brocklehurst near Dubbo.
