Two house fires, a vehicle roll-over and arcing powerlines meant all hands on deck for Gunnedah Fire and Rescue on the weekend.

Just hours after putting out a blaze at Northwest Family Medical Centre on Friday, firefighters were called to Curlewis at 6pm to assist the Rural Fire Service (RFS) with fires caused by arcing power lines in Railway Street.
When they arrived, Curlewis RFS had it under control.

At midnight, firefighters were called to a house fire in Jaeger Avenue and found the building engulfed in flames. Crew donned breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze and fire protection was put in place until Gunnedah RFS took over and rendered it safe. No residents were present at the time.
Fire and Rescue returned on Saturday to check for hot spots with a thermal imaging camera. The hot spots were doused.
At 3.20am on Saturday, firefighters headed out to Bluevale Road where a single vehicle had rolled. They treated the driver at the scene before paramedics arrived.
On Sunday at 1.33am, firefighters were called to a house fire in O' Keefe Place where they found an oil fire on the stove top.
A crew was also tasked to the Tenterfield bushfire on the weekend to assist in property protection alongside Glen Innes, Inverell, Narrabri, Tamworth, Coonababran and Armidale.
