FC suffered a 1-0 major semi-final loss to North Companions last weekend.
"We just hope we turn up [against Souths]," he said. "I was concerned that we're a team that gets to the finals and then don't turn up in the final. We've made three [grand] finals now and only won one."
Gunnedah won the 2016 premiership but lost the 2017 and 2018 grand finals.

To beat Souths, Cygan said Gunnedah needed to service their forwards better. He said Gunnedah had to "get the young wingers going to give them some chances up front".
"I just felt that we didn't get enough ball into our forwards on the weekend [against Northies]. We didn't get the ball down the line, and no balls into the box."
I was concerned that we're a team that gets to the finals and then don't turn up in the final.
- Andy Cygan
Cygan is "concerned" about Saturday's clash. Souths and FC have met three times in 2019, and the former have won twice: 2-1 in round two and 3-2 in round 16. Gunnedah beat Souths 3-1 in round nine.
Cygan said Souths "were always a tough team for us to beat". "It will be hard but at least we're at home."
