The association received the funding through the Greater New England program after being voted the most popular grant candidate for the month of August by the community.

Association president Steve Betts said the funds would go a long way to helping improving facilities, buying new uniforms and new equipment.
"We had a new committee come on this year, which identified a number of areas that required upgrading to ensure we are providing the best possible facilities and experience for our players and spectators," Betts said.
"These things all come at a cost though.
"With a wish list that includes improvement to our clubhouse, resurfacing courts and purchasing new playing equipment, we can now prioritise these and allocate this funding towards making it happen.
"This funding from Greater Bank has allowed us to fast-track some of these upgrades and purchase and tick a few things off the wish list."
Greater Bank's Regional Manager, Jennifer Smith, said she was proud to see the program continue to provide deserving community groups in the Greater New England region with funding, which has now topped $175,000 since the program was established in 2016.
"Organisations like Gunnedah Netball Association give so much to their communities and this is a wonderful opportunity for Greater Bank to return the favour and say thank you," Smith said.
Both runners-up for the August round, Emerald Hill Progress Association and Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club, will also each receive a $1,000 grant.
Nominations are now open for the September round of Greater New England funding.
