The show, Women Like Us, will raise funds for community group PRAMS so it can refurbish the "booking-in" room of the maternity wing at Gunnedah District Hospital.
PRAMS member Rebecca Ryan said the group would go ahead with the project "even though it might be superseded" by the $53 million-dollar hospital upgrade.
"That's the room every woman booking into maternity spends a decent amount of time in, [and] it will still be used by hundreds of women in the next two years," Ms Ryan said.
"We'll be making it more welcoming and not purely an office space like it is now."
Ms Ryan said women were asked a number of "confronting questions" about their mental health when they booked in "so it's important it's a nice environment for women".

The long-time PRAMS member said the group was considering what its role may be in the years following the hospital upgrade.
"We're very aware that our role may change in the coming years with the development of the hospital," she said.
"We have been looking at how we may be involved in more community campaigning around health and women's health.
"Something we've identified is how we may be able to assist either existing staff or people who want to go into midwifery or nursing."
- Ellen Briggs will take to the stage at 8pm, followed by an intermission. Mandy Nolan will bring a second hour of comedy from 9.30pm. A cash bar will be in operation and show-goers can bring food to share. For tickets, visit https://www.trybooking.com/book/sessions?eid=514636
