Just last weekend we saw snow around the region with temperatures topping out in the single figures in some areas but there's going to be a spring surprise come this weekend
You'll still need to rug up in the morning - temperatures will go close to freezing overnight across the weekend - but the days are set to get as high as 27 degrees, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Sunday is the day to get out there and really enjoy the weather.
Moree will hit 27 degrees on Sunday, Narrabri will peak at 26 while Gunnedah, Tamworth and Quirindi are all see to reach 24.
It's a stark comparison to last weekend where Gunnedah had a high of 13 degrees. Guyra was one of the coldest places in the region with a top of 5.2.
Before we get to that warmer weather, we'll have to endure a frost on Thursday morning first.
Most of the region will wake up to a covering of frost tomorrow before temperatures rise.
Frosts are then set to return by next Tuesday next week with a low of -2 predicted for Gunnedah.
