Fond memories of the late Sue Ebbage were revived as Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club members battled it out for the annual trivia night trophy in her memory.

Trivia master Anne McMahon excelled her self once again, challenging members with her wide range of intriguing trivia questions and cryptic clues. Members expressed appreciation to Margaret Kelly and Jeanette Hinshelwood for coming along as helpers.
Trivia buffs received a table number as they arrived and the combination of Deirdre Andren, Pat Green, Aldyth Hailes, Elisabeth Heath and Marie Hobson proved a winner. Known as the Bright Buttons the team happily accepted the trophy in memory of their friend Sue Ebbage - a battler to the end.

Club members are very proud of their long-serving and hard working member, Deirdre Andren, who has been honoured with the VIEW Clubs of Australia 'Making A Difference' Award. The award will be announced at VIEW National Convention on the Sunshine Coast next month and her name placed on the honour roll.
National VIEW President Jan Roberts congratulated Deirdre Andren noting that she had "made a significant contribution to VIEW and the Smith Family and is very deserving of the recognition". She said "Deirdre is an excellent ambassador of VIEW, not only in the local area but in the broader community".
Nominations are closing soon for the National Convention from September 13-15. One of the guest speakers will be Dr Craig Challen OAM who helped rescue the children lost in caves in Thailand last year.
Members have been invited to Manilla VIEW Club's 26th birthday celebration on October 1, at the Royal Hotel from 11.30am.
Next month's guest speakers will be Margaret and David Amos who will be sharing their amazing experiences from a recent trip to Antarctica and Argentina.
October is the club's birthday month and as the town is Pinking Up to support the McGrath Foundation, there will a pink theme to celebrate, with members invited to wear pink and learn about the Pink Up Gunnedah program from Trish Conway.
Apologies and names of guests should be phoned to Kate on 6742 3926 by the Monday night prior to the meeting on Wednesday, September 4. The competition donor is Lyn Norman with Pat Green to provide the lucky door prize.
