It's Children's Book Week from the 17 -23 August, but at the library, every day is Children's Day, with plenty of books, and Toddler time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning at 10.30am.
Libraries are "no longer just book places but people spaces" and Gunnedah Shire Library, although small, reflects this new attitude.
As well as books, the library also offers newspapers and magazines, paperbacks and large print items, DVDs and CDs, talking books in three formats - MP3, disk and eResources .
Need a computer to polish your resume and send off a job application?

The Library can help with all these things. Need to have a JP certify some documents? The Library has three JPs on duty.
If you would just like a space to spend some quality time chatting with like-minded people, making new friends, learning new skills, or networking, the library is the place to be - join one of our programs such as Toddler Time for the youngsters, or Brain Training at the Library for senior people or Knit and Natter, Colour and Chatter.
