Narrabri shire's libraries have recently adopted the new service, Kanopy, and Gunnedah's librarians are keen to jump on the bandwagon.
Kanopy offers Narrabri's library members over 30,000 different films, documentaries, courses and children's programs to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.
"It'd be a draw-card to get people to ... join the library to come in and see what other things we do seeing as though we are more than just books these days," Gunnedah library technician Robyn Draper said.
"We're slowly getting into more digital with our e-resources [so] I'd be very interested to find out more about [Kanopy]. It sounds very interesting."

Narrabri library manager Jenny Campbell said the use of Kanopy would provide a greater variety of online options for residents to enjoy through their library membership.
"Narrabri Shire Libraries experience high engagement of our current e-resources such as audiobooks, ebooks and emagazines as well as downloadable music," she said.
"We look forward to our members being able to access a wide range of films, documentaries, courses and children's programs."
Access to the Kanopy service will entitle the Narrabri library membership holder to 10 'play credits' each month, with no limit to the children's content.
Narrabri shire residents can become a member to their local library in Boggabri, Wee Waa, or Narrabri by visiting the branch.
