THE Quirindi Lions are set to shine a light on mental health as part of the NSW Positive Rugby Foundation and batyr's Get Talking Tour.
Featuring a panel of NSW Waratah's players and coaches, the session at the Quirindi Rugby Club, will aim to give club members the tools to take charge of their own wellbeing and that of their mates.
The free event will cover techniques and the importance of discussing mental health, as well as helping to implement a mental health ambassador for the club.
Tuesday evening's event in Quirindi, will begin a two-week tour, which will also visit Tamworth and Armidale in the coming days.
Waratah's members Alex Newsome, Shannon Fraser and Chris Whitaker will be on hand for the event to share their experiences with community.
After the training and information session, the club will be hosting a free barbecue dinner.
Members of the community are encouraged to register at www.batyr.com.au/gettalkintour/ prior to attending the event.
